About me in 2011: First and foremost, I’m the mother of three brilliant boys, and the wife of the best man on earth (seriously). I named this blog From the Goofy Path because I feel the title does a good job of representing my various interests; Goofy, for my love of (nearly) all things Disney, as well as in honor of one of my toughest achievements, finishing the Goofy Challenge. And Path, for the paths I run in the early hours of the morning, to the spiritual path I follow in order to live my best life.
In 2011, I hope to expand on the things I write about here because it is a terrific way to document my personal journey, and to share what I’ve learned about all of these things in case anyone in the webiverse is interested. Occasionally I do stumble upon something interesting.
About me before 2011: What is there to know about me? In a parallel universe I am a novelist living in some idyllic New England setting, but pretty much everything else is the same. I live for my three fabulous sons and my amazing uber-geek husband. I think that Walt Disney was brilliant and love visiting the parks. In order to do this I must work full-time in a job that, heartbreakingly, does not involve writing creative prose (or any other form of writing for that matter). But it is a good job, an honest job, and it helps me to support my family and my interests. And I’ve been living Vegas for going on (OMG) 18 years? I intended to stay 1 or 2 years at most.
And I run. Why do I run? For my health (mental and physical). To have time to meditate, connect with my husband. To hear my heart pound and feel my muscles ache and to feel alive! I love to run!
